March 2, 2021—MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CENTER TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif.

The Johnson Valley Shared Use Area will be temporarily closed to the public from April 30 to May 10, 2021 while the Marine Corps conducts critical military training in the area. The closure period includes the time required to conduct pre- and post-inspections of the area in coordination with the Bureau of Land Management.

As a reminder, the Johnson Valley Shared Use Area is also scheduled for closure on the following dates in 2021.

  • Oct. 15 – Nov. 1, 2021

For release, the 2022 Johnson Valley Shared Use Area closure dates:

  • April 26 – May 9, 2022
  • Oct. 18 – Nov. 1, 2022
