February 1, 2023—The Marine Corps has announced new temporary closure dates for the Johnson Valley Shared Use Area in 2024. In 2024 the area will be closed from February 15th through the 27th. The Marine Corps schedules closures of the Shared Use Area based on consideration of global resources, deployment schedules, and pre-deployment training requirements. Every effort is made to only close the area for the time necessary to conduct critical service-level training and support maximum public use of the area.

August 18 – 28, 2023
February 15 – 27, 2024
